Supporting Education Support

We believe learning is a cornerstone of positive transition, fully integrated into each young person's individualised placement plan.

Active Partnerships & Study

All young people residing at our homes are actively supported to engage in full-time education.

Our staff represent residents at PEP (Personal Education Plan) reviews, coordinate daily study routines, and manage transport. We work in lockstep with schools, virtual school education coordinators, and alternative education centers.

  • PEP Reviews: Regular engagement in Personal Education Plans to keep learning goals on track.
  • Homely Study Areas: Quiet study rooms inside Willow House, equipped with computers and learning materials.
  • Liaison Support: Direct communication with teachers to support complex EBD needs in the classroom.
Special Educational Needs

EHCP Coordination

Many young people placed in our residential care present with additional, complex learning needs.

We work hand-in-hand with educational psychologists, local authority SEND teams, and schools to coordinate full compliance with individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs):

  • Attending all annual EHCP review meetings.
  • Ensuring therapeutic recommendations from specialists (occupational, speech, and psychology) are supported at home.
  • Providing daily emotional coaching to manage academic anxiety and school refusal.
